Sr. Operations/Logistics Financial Analyst | Campbell Sales Company | Cherry Hill, NJ

General Summary
In this assignment you will play a key role in optimizing the performance of our Customer Service Center and our Warehouse and Distribution Operations and leading these functions to deliver the flat TDC (Total Delivered Cost) targets of the organization. You will analyze financial and tactical objectives to support management in the achievement of business objectives. You will work with teams to identify and quantify Enabler/TDC (Total Delivered Cost) initiatives and have tracking responsibility. You will also be responsible for analyzing the financial efficiency of detailed warehouse operations and improvement program monitoring. You will report and review the key metrics of the Customer Service Center and perform detailed analysis to identify drivers to improve performance and position the organization to deliver improved service delivery with our customers both external and internal. You will provide value-added financial analysis, trend reporting and cost estimates/savings and evaluate financial performance of the Customer Service Center and our Warehousing and Distribution functions.

Principal Accountabilities
  1. 25% - Analyze and report on the financial performance of our thermal warehouse operations. Coordinate annual expense budget and capital plans summaries across the thermal warehouse. Coordinate with Supply Chain Finance to ensure we are on track to deliver against annual/quarterly business objectives. Create fact based recommendations to support investments to optimize spending and change procedures.
  2. 30% - Perform adhoc financial analysis to support all functions of Customer Service, Transportation and Warehouse/Distribution operations as directed by the Director of Finance. Participate in trouble shooting / problem solving projects. Work independently to identify the the driving factors behind performance variances to optimize improvements across the network and eliminate inefficiencies. Make decisions regarding resource investments to optimize cost reductions while maintaining or improving service basics. These decisions are critical to pursuing the appropriate opportunities to deliver our TDC targets.
  3. 20% - Work with the various teams to identify and quantify potential new Enabler/TDC initiatives. Track Enabler/TDC initiatives across the Center. Independently evaluate performance to identify areas of focus and new enabler initiatives.
  4. 15% - Assemble and review key metrics within the Customer Service Center including Transportation and Warehouse/Distribution and summarize impact and changes. Perform Adhoc analysis where needed to support any of the Warehouse/Distribution, Transportation or Customer Service needs of the organization as assigned by the Director of Finance.
  5. 10% - Prepare annual Customer Service Center budgets. Perform Customer Service Center budget tracking and analysis. Follow-up and resolve any expense discrepancies and questions. Make decisions to prioritize spending within the budget and solve any budget gaps while delivering critical resources to drive improvement to service basics with our customers.

Job Complexity
  • Understand operational functions and industry trends to analyze and articulate the financial impact of the environment.
  • Undertake the more complex and critical economic/financial research exercising considerable latitude in approach and analysis.
  • Organize data for analysis, draw appropriate conclusion, provide report JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Specifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 4-7 years of financial experience preferably within a supply chain functional area.
  • Well developed communication and presentation skills. Ability to interact with Management.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including advanced Excel and Access experience. SAP experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

Working Conditions
Normal office environment with approximately 15-20% travel.
